Amino acids

Proteins consist of small amino acids, which are the building blocks of the macronutrient. An athlete who wants to recover from working out needs more amino acids in the diet in order to be ready for the next workout. The molecules are associated in many research as essential supplements when trying to lose fat, build muscle or strength by giving energy and aiding the recover process. After “destroying” the muscles in the gym, supplementing amino acids can be beneficial in the muscle re-building process. As there are a lot of different amino acids (as you can see and buy below), Branched Chain Amino Acids (BCAAs) are the most used amino acid product. It contains Leucine, Isoleucine and Valine. This preferred combination can help individuals, who are on restricted calories and macronutrient intake to keep the gained muscle by promoting protein synthesis and giving the extra energy boost during the workouts.
