We've put together one of these squat racks for testing, and although it's more for home and garage gym use, we've squatted 250 kilograms and lifting and lowering into the hooks went smoothly.

The safety tubes are square and can withstand a load of over 500 kilograms.

We have not attached the frame to the floor in any way, but have put 4 pieces of 15mm x 1000 x 1000mm rubber mats under it.

Many customers who have purchased this or a commercial gym power rack have ordered 9 pieces of 15 mm x 1000 x 1000 mm rubber mats with it, so that the floor of the home gym is fully protected and it is more comfortable to do things like deadlifts and squats in front of the frame, because the mat does not end immediately on the outside of the frame.

What exercises can be done on a multi-purpose frame?

Squats.

• Half squats and quarter squats.
• Pulls.
• Push-ups from the front and back.
• Forearm flexions at an ergonomic height directly from the hooks or safety tubes.
• All back exercises with or without extra weights and all grip positions.
• Bench press and incline press.

Thanks to the elastic bands, you can do exercises either using the Hang Bar method, where the elastic bands are attached to the bar from above and lifting becomes easier as you go down, or by attaching the elastic bands to the bar below, which allows maximum load in the upper position, such as squatting. This way, you can test heavier than your personal record and perform a full squat at the bottom with a lighter load as the elastics relax the downward pull force and only the weight remains on the bar.
